Budget receives less funds from Tax Service
RBC, 24.11.2009, Moscow 11:48:39.The Russian Federal Tax Service contributed RUB 6.889 trillion (approx. USD 239.2bn) to the budgetary system (budgets of all levels and non-budgetary funds) in the first 10 months of 2009, the service reported today. This figure is 21.5 percent lower than that from January-October 2008, when it stood at RUB 8.774 trillion (approx. USD 304.65bn). Meanwhile, allocations to the federal budget slumped 32 percent to RUB 2.472 trillion (approx. USD 85.8bn). The majority of allocations to the federal budget (41 percent) were comprised of VAT, and another 31 percent of mining tax. Meanwhile, a total of RUB 1.35 trillion (approx. USD 46.9bn) was contributed to the Pension Fund, 0.8 percent more than in January-October 2008.
