Inflation rate creeps down in November
RBC, 24.11.2009, Moscow 13:24:27.Russia's year-to-date inflation stood at 9.5 percent as of November 16 compared to 14.2 percent for the corresponding period a year earlier, the Bank of Russia announced today. According to the bank's statement, the current trend of a slower inflation rise rate is expected to persist in the mid-term. Meanwhile, this year's accrued inflation stood at 9.9 percent as of October 26, 2009, down from 10.1 percent as of October 20. Taking this into consideration, First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev indicated that Russia registered a stable downward trend in inflation.
